Counselling for Depression

Feeling either down or worried for a short period of time is a normal part of the human condition. However, if you experience a notable drop in motivation or persistent sadness, possibly in conjunction with unexplained physical discomfort, depression or anxiety may be the cause.

If you find that irrational thoughts, lack of sleep, or irritability (some of the tell-tale signs of depression) are standing in your way of living your best life, know that there is a way out.

Together, we can retrain your brain by implementing sustainable, more helpful thought patterns that open up new possibilities you may have never thought to consider before. By working on boosting your self-compassion and resilience in the face of adversity, we can begin to reconstruct a life that you are excited about again.

Whether you are in crisis or this is a long-standing struggle, there is not a one-size-fits-all way to healing...it all depends on you!

Some of the practices we may consider at our first few meetings are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which helps re-frame your internal narrative, relaxation techniques, and stress management tools.

We can help you regain your sense of equilibrium, well-being and joy.
